Finland

Finland offers several options for individuals who wish to obtain permanent residency status. One of the most common routes to permanent residency in Finland is through employment. If an individual has been working in Finland for a minimum of four years on a continuous basis, they may be eligible to apply for permanent residency. Another option is through family ties, such as marrying a Finnish citizen or having a child who is a Finnish citizen. Additionally, individuals who have been granted refugee status or subsidiary protection in Finland may also be eligible to apply for permanent residency. Once an individual obtains permanent residency in Finland, they have the right to reside in the country indefinitely and have access to the same social benefits and services as Finnish citizens, with the exception of the right to vote in elections.
